Paulo Dybala has reminded many of his qualities with Roma this season and has been linked with multiple top clubs, but the Giallorossi have no intention of losing the Argentine star.

The 29-year-old joined Jose Mourinho’s side on a free transfer last summer after ending a seven-year spell with Juventus, penning a three-year deal with a €20m release clause, which drops to €12m for foreign clubs.

Dybala has been the standout star in Mourinho’s Roma squad this season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists across 22 Serie A appearances, being a vital source of creativity in the team.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Roma hope three separate factors will help them retain Dybala amidst interest from clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United.

The first of these is securing qualification to the Champions League, something currently in sight as the team sit third in the table with 53 points.

The second factor is the future of Mourinho, who seems set to stay with the club beyond this season, despite the various links with other jobs.

The final element is a new contract, increasing his salary from €4.2m net plus add-ons to around €6m net per season.

  1. He plainly stated he doesn’t want to leave Italy. Therefore the only way he would leave is if Inter or Milan come knocking with 20 million, which I think we all know is highly unlikely!
