Ashley Cole could start at left-back for Roma according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, but Garcia is reportedly considering handing a starting spot to the more defensively-minded Vasilis Torosidis in view of the Bavarians’ attacking talents.
However, Il Messaggero believes the Englishman will get the nod, being favoured in light of his extensive Champions League experience.
Cole has made 106 appearances in the competition, and lifted the trophy as a Chelsea player in 2011. La Repubblica meanwhile believes Torosidis will be trusted to shackle Arjen Robben.
In the centre of defence too, Garcia apparently has a dilemma. Kostas Manolas wil return to the side following his suspension for the win over Chievo, meaning either Davide Astori or Yapou Yanga-Mbiwa will not face Bayern.
Il Tempo, the Gazzetta dello Sport and La Repubblica all believe Yanga-Mbiwa will be given a starting shirt.
With the midfield unlikely to see any changes from the win over Chievo, the only other question in regards to the Roma line-up is in attack.
Juan Manuel Iturbe could line up from the start, provided he can prove his fitness after a thigh injury. Should the Argentinean not be deemed ready, Adem Ljajic would take up a spot in the front three alongside Gervinho and Francesco Totti.
