Inter President Erick Thohir has said that the Nerazzurri will do anything to bring in Yaya Toure, who has reportedly agreed to a San Siro switch.

The Corriere dello Sport has reported that the Ivorian international said yes to an Inter move during a telephone conversation with Coach Roberto Mancini on Tuesday evening.

It appears that President Thohir has got his wish, with the Nerazzurri owner telling Tempo.co that the club are desperate to secure the 32-year-old.

“I can’t say what our chances are, but what is clear is that we will do everything to take him to Inter,” Thohir has said.

Mancini’s conversation with his former Manchester City colleague last night appears to have cleared the path for a move.

A four-year deal worth €5m plus bonuses based on the midfielder’s performances and the club’s achievements is believed to be on the table.

Although the figure is significantly higher than the club’s next biggest earners Rodrigo Palacio and Nemanja Vidic, who earn €3.2m a year, it is a cut from Toure’s current €8.5m per season at City.

The Corriere dello Sport believes this is thanks to the player’s relationship with Mancini, but underlined that a transfer fee must still be arranged.

The Citizens are demanding €15m for the midfielder while Inter will begin negotiations with a lower figure to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions.
