Thiago Silva agrees two-year Chelsea contract

Thiago Silva has agreed a two-year contract with Chelsea and will sign over the next couple of days, according to multiple reports.

The defender is a free agent after his deal with Paris Saint-Germain ran down, with his last game being the Champions League Final defeat to Bayern Munich.

The former Milan centre-back had been considering a return to Serie A for Fiorentina, while he had several other proposals on the table too.

However, RMC Sport, Sky Sport Italia and more are all confident Thiago Silva has reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea.

It’ll be a two-year contract and the only thing missing is the signature on the paperwork.

The Brazilian will turn 36 next month and had been in Paris since leaving Milan in 2012.
