Spezia coach Thiago Motta does not confirm he will remain there next season and comments on the PSG rumours. ‘I’ll speak to the club.’

The tactician turns 40 in August and spent the final six years of his playing career at Paris Saint-Germain, then beginning in management for the 2018-19 season with their Under-19 squad.

He went on to experiences at Genoa and Spezia, but there are reports in France that he’s one of the candidates for the role at Parc des Princes should Mauricio Pocchettino be axed.

“It has been a privilege for me to train this group of players and it’s very satisfying to have secured our Serie A status,” Thiago Motta told DAZN.

The Serie A season concluded this afternoon with a 3-0 home defeat to Napoli, decided by Matteo Politano, Piotr Zielinski and Diego Demme goals.

“There are always rumours circulating about me and there always will be. I am very happy with what we achieved at Spezia this season.

“There will be time to talk about the future, for now I want to take some time with my family, especially as my daughters are 10 years old and I haven’t seen them in two months, so that will be a special moment.”

PSG are in the middle of massive changes following news Kylian Mbappé has signed a new contract, snubbing the offer from Real Madrid.

It is also widely reported today that director of sport Leonardo has been dismissed, with Luis Campos taking over.
