According to Sky Sport Italia, Thiago Motta wants to build his Juventus side on Adrien Rabiot, Manuel Locatelli, Gleison Bremer and Michele Di Gregorio, releasing Federico Chiesa and Wojciech Szczesny.

The Bologna coach announced he is leaving the Stadio Dall’Ara and is widely expected to make his next move to the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin.

Max Allegri had his favourites and this is going to be a different shape to his traditional 3-5-2 formation, but there are a few surprises in store too.

Transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening on Sky Sport Italia that Thiago Motta intends to build his team around players including Rabiot, Locatelli and Bremer.

Of the three, only Locatelli seems guaranteed to remain, because Rabiot is out of contract on June 30, while Bremer is the subject of huge proposals from Manchester United.

Thiago Motta plans to revamp Juventus

It is effectively confirmed that Di Gregorio will join from Monza for €18m plus €2m in bonuses, but the new goalkeeper is expected to be their first choice with Mattia Perin in reserve.

That means Szczesny is on the market, as he has one more year left on his contract and has been linked with Bayern Munich, so Juventus hope to raise some funds with his sale.

Another player who Di Marzio insists is not part of Thiago Motta’s plans is Chiesa, who has emerged as a transfer target for Roma and Milan.

Chiesa would not be a first choice player in the starting XI of the new coach, so if offers come in for the Italy international, they will be taken into consideration.

  1. Is this fake news or real? I’ll be the 1st to say that if Motta “really” does not want Chiesa (meaning this is really his choice) then he is an idiot. Doesn’t matter what he’s done with Bolognaese he would be blind.

  2. 😂😂😂 so he wants Shezney out and Chiesa 😂😂 , and he brings monza ? Is Motta smoking some kind of zaza mixed with £rack? Cuz he must be , or this article is fake AF.
