Federico Chiesa remains in talks with Barcelona, and Juventus coach Thiago Motta indirectly confirmed that the Italian star is not part of his plans, as he didn’t even mention the winger among the unavailable players for the Hellas Verona game.

It is no secret that Italian star Chiesa has no future at Juventus as Motta does not consider the ex-Fiorentina ace as part of his plans.

Chiesa has been training separately since the start of the pre-season and Juventus are pushing for his sale.

His agent Fali Ramadani is in talks with Barcelona and the latest report from Sky Sport claims that the Catalans are confident of reaching an agreement with Juventus.

The Old Lady’s asking price for the winger is circa €15m as Chiesa’s contract runs out in June 2025.

Thiago Motta indirectly confirms Juventus stance on Chiesa as Barcelona talks continue

Thiago Motta didn’t face any question about Chiesa during a press conference on Sunday, but the ex-Italy international indrectly confirmed his stance on the ex-Fiorentina star when naming the players not available for tomorrow’s game against Hellas Verona.

“Khephren [Thuram], Tim [Weah], Vasilije [Adzic], and Arek [Milik] are unavailable,” he said.

At that point, he asked the Juventus’ press officer sitting close to him: “Did I forget about someone? No? Good.”

“We’ll assess Danilo today,” continud Motta.

“As for the others, we have one more training session to decide who will start the game and who will be introduced and have the chance to help the team.”

Chiesa is training separately from the first team alongside other players who are not part of Motta’s project. Among them are Fiorentina targets Filip Kostic and Arthur and Mattia De Sciglio who has been in talks with Empoli.
