Thiago Motta made history by naming Juventus’s youngest ever side in the three-point era for Monday night’s entertaining 3-0 win over Como in Serie A

The Juventus team that lined up at the Allianz Stadium on Monday night had an average age of 24 years and 122 days, surpassing the previous record-holding team, coached by Marcello Lippi in 1998, with an average age of 24 years and 340 days.

At 27 years of age, centre-back Gleison Bremer was the most senior player in Juve’s starting XI against Como, closely followed by new signing Michele Di Gregorio, who is four months Bremer’s junior.

At the other end of the spectrum, new no.10 Kenan Yildiz was still the youngest representative at 19. He was joined by fellow Next Gen graduate Samuel Mbangula, 20, in a particularly youthful attacking line, along with 24-year-olds Timothy Weah and Dusan Vlahovic.
