Milan full-back Theo Hernandez has travelled to Rome with the rest of the Rossoneri squad for Friday evening’s Serie A match against Lazio, despite picking up a minor knock during Thursday’s training session, according to recent reports.

Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato detail that Hernandez suffered a blow to his foot during Stefano Pioli’s training session at Milanello on Thursday, but he has set off with the rest of the team for Friday evening’s game.

There are, however, still question marks over whether the Frenchman will be able to start on Friday night.

Pioli will assess the situation again on Friday morning, according to Calciomercato’s reports.

If there are any doubts over Hernandez’s condition, then Milan could rest him for next Thursday’s Europa League Round of 16 first leg against Slavia Praha back in San Siro.

If Pioli does leave his star defender out against Lazio, then Alessandro Florenzi will be the one to replace him at left-back, with Davide Calabria assuming his usual role at right-back.

Milan will still have an almost full set of players to choose from against Lazio, as Tommaso Pobega is the only player definitely ruled out through injury. Fikayo Tomori is expected to be called up to the squad for the first time in over two months after recovering from his recent hamstring injury.
