Hirving Lozano had opened the scoring for the visitors at San Siro, but Jack Bonaventura’s ferocious strike drew level within five minutes.
“It’s a very important point. We knew it was a complicated game against a great Napoli side, but we’re happy with the point,” Theo Hernandez told Sky Sport Italia.
“I think Milan are a big club and it’s positive that we didn’t lose this evening. We’ve got to build on this and try to win the next few games with Parma and Bologna.
“Milan cannot stay in our current position, but we need to take it one step at a time, game by game, and climb our way up the table.”
The Spanish full-back was asked about his approach under new boss Stefano Pioli in the 4-3-3 formation.
“I really enjoy my role in a four-man defence and think my performances are showing that.”
