Theo Hernandez insists Milan can still get fourth place in Serie A and is impressed by new boss Stefano Pioli. “He has clear ideas.”
The Rossoneri sacked Marco Giampaolo after losing four of the opening seven games and brought in ex-Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina Coach Pioli, who will make his debut this weekend against Lecce.
“It’s obviously better for a Coach to start the season rather than come in, but these things happen in football,” the full-back told Sky Sport Italia.

“We now have a Coach who I consider to be very good and I’m sure we’ll do well together. I didn’t know him before, but he likes to play good football and has clear ideas.
“The first thing he said was that we need to work hard and provide a reaction to bring the fans back on side. I work every day to earn my place in the starting XI and want to write history with Milan.”
Milan are currently in the bottom half of the table with just nine points after seven rounds, but only four off Napoli in fourth place.
“I believe we can finish in the top four, as we’ve got the squad to be up there,” added Theo Hernandez.
“We have a great team to challenge for a Champions League place, but we need to put our heart and soul on to the pitch, starting from Lecce.
“Victories raise our spirits, while defeats knock us down.”
