Milan left-back Theo Hernandez makes his senior France debut at last this evening against Finland, but will be playing as a wing-back in the 3-4-1-2 formation.

The 23-year-old is accustomed to his role as a left-back at San Siro, with his performances in Serie A over the last couple of seasons leading many to question his absence from the France squad.

Coach Didier Deschamps finally relented and called up the younger brother of Lucas Hernandez, giving him his debut this evening in the starting XI.

However, it is as a left wing-back in a 3-4-1-2 formation, completing the midfield with Juventus man Adrien Rabiot.

Theo Hernandez has scored 15 goals and provided 14 assists in his 83 competitive matches in the Milan jersey.
