Arthur Theate has arrived in Bologna and seems set to carry out his medical and complete a move from KV Oostende tomorrow.

SportItalia reports the 21-year-old has arrived in Emilia-Romagna tonight and is set to sign a deal with Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team.

The lengthy negotiations have reportedly been going on for weeks but are now done and the player will carry out the medical examinations on Tuesday morning.

He will then sign a contract to make his move to Bologna official and join the team group at the Renato Dall’Ara.

Theate, capped once by Belgium U21, has played 40 games with Oostende, having arrived from Standard Liege’s youth team.

The centre-back has scored five goals with the Belgian side, three of them coming in the Jupiler Pro League.

Theate has already played three games in the Belgian League this term and leaves the club after only one season.

The former KRC Genk youth moved to Standard’s youth team in 2019 and was then picked up by Oostende on a free transfer in July 2020.
