Manolo Portanova played for Juventus against his future club Genoa and the same is true of the Grifone’s Nicolò Rovella, who is set to sign with the Old Lady, but there are more transfer stories behind this evening’s Juve-Genoa.

Portanova started his second game with the Bianconeri against Genoa this evening, but this could be his last match in a Black-and-White shirt as he has already undergone medical tests to join the Grifone.

He will move to the Luigi Ferraris together with Elia Petrelli in a swap deal with Nicolò Rovella, who started for Genoa this evening.

The 19-year-old has 11 Serie A appearances this season and his contract was due to expire in June 2021, but he will extend his agreement with the Grifone before signing a new deal with the Old Lady.

He will remain out on loan at Genoa until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

Genoa’s Gianluca Scamacca has been linked with a move to the Allianz Stadium, but Juventus are not negotiating with Genoa as he is contracted with Sassuolo and he is on loan at Marassi.

If Juventus reach an agreement to sign the 22-year-old, he would end his loan with Genoa and move to Turin in the winter transfer window.

Scamacca started alongside Marko Pjaca up front. The Croatian joined Genoa on loan from Juve last summer and has three goals in 17 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
