Adrien Rabiot is the most valuable Serie A player available on a free transfer in June, followed by Inter-bound Piotr Zielinski and Lazio’s Daichi Kamada.
Several Serie A players have not yet extended their expiring contracts, so they are still available on free transfers. Juventus star Rabiot is the most valuable, according to Transfermarkt, given that the Frenchman’s price tag is believed to be around €40m.
It is no secret that Rabiot would love to play in the Premier League one day, and bookmakers see a move to England as a likely option for the 29-year-old. Transfers are becoming a hot issue among bettors as the summer approaches and the latest trend is to use PayID pokies to place bets and boost the security of online payments.
Bear in mind that Rabiot has recently refused to rule out leaving Juventus at the end of the season.
“I remained because I wanted to remain, to help this team get back into the Champions League, and that is what the club asked of me too,” he said after a 0-0 draw in the derby della Mole against Torino.
“At this moment we have to concentrate on the pitch and the games that need to be played. Everyone is concentrated on that objective, then there will be time to talk about it later.
“The target is to get back into the Champions League with Juve. Even if I am not here next season, my personal objective is to get Juve back into the Champions League and win the Coppa Italia. Then we’ll talk about it.”
Manchester United, Newcastle United and even Inter have been linked with a move for the ex-PSG star, but a transfer to the Meazza seems unlikely given that the fresh Serie A champions have already reached an agreement with Napoli’s Zielinski, the second most valuable footballer available on a free transfer according to Transfermarkt.
The Poland international is valued at €25m, but he will join Inter for free in June.
“We will have even more competitions next season, as Inter have qualified for the Club World Cup, so we are seeking an increasingly competitive squad with first choices and co-first choices,” Inter director Marotta said in February, answering a question about the Poland star.
“Opportunities like Zielinski or other players are something we must follow. We’ll see if we manage to register him, but he has the skills we are looking for.”
Lazio’s Kamada is the third most valuable Serie A player available on a free transfer. The Japanese star struggled with playing time under Maurizio Sarri, but started four consecutive Serie A matches under Igor Tudor, so he may decide to remain at the Olimpico for one more season.
Kamada, a former Milan target, joined the Biancocelesti on a free transfer last summer. However, he has failed to impress in his first Serie A campaign, with just one goal and two assists in 33 matches. The most likely scenario is for the 27-year-old to leave in June, but the Asian midfielder has yet to make a final decision over his future.
His €15m price tag is the same as Alex Meret’s, but the Napoli keeper will automatically extend his stay by one more season having played 70% of matches with the Partenopei this term.
