Cremonese striker Daniel Ciofani has scored four of his five goals this season coming off the bench as a substitute, as many as Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min and nobody has more in Europe’s top-five leagues.

As highlighted by Eurosport, Ciofani is one of Europe’s super subs this season, having scored four Serie A goals coming off the bench.

The former Frosinone striker shares this record with Tottenham’s Son, Lens’ Loïs Openda and Nantes’ Mostafa Mohamed. They have all scored four goals as substitutes, more than anyone else in the top five leagues of the Old Continent.

Ciofani’s Cremonese face Atalanta in an unusual Lombard Derby at the Stadio Zini on Saturday, but the Italian striker is not expected to start, with David Okereke and Frank Tsadjout getting the nod up front.

Ciofani, 37, joined Cremonese from Frosinone in the summer of 2019 and has netted 29 goals in 140 appearances with the Grigiorossi between Serie A and Serie B.

Overall, he has scored 19 goals in 93 Serie A appearances with Frosinone and Cremonese.
