José Mourinho has built a special rapport with Roma players as highlighted, among other things, by their social media comments after the Conference League Final.
The Portuguese coach has become the first to triumph in three different European competitions and led Roma to win their first major trophy in Europe in the club’s history last night.
Mourinho is known to be one of the best coaches in the game, not only for his tactical knowledge but also for the empathy that he creates with his players. It has often been at the base of his successes all around Europe and this is also true at Roma.
Last night, he was drenched with champagne by some of his lads during a post-match press conference. (VIDEO).
Some of them, including Rick Karsdorp, Stephan El Shaarawy and Henrikh Mkhitaryan dedicated an Instagram post to their boss.
The Armenia star wasn’t on good terms with Mou at Manchester United, but their rapport has evolved in the capital and the former Red Devil was one of Roma’s standout performers this term.
