Cagliari are asking for Inter youth team striker Martin Satriano, but who is the 20-year-old Uruguayan described as the ‘next Luis Suarez’?
The two clubs are continuing to negotiate a double deal, with Nahitan Nandez heading to San Siro and Radja Nainggolan back to Sardinia.
According to transfer pundit Nicolò Schira, Satriano has been mentioned in the talks as a player Cagliari would like to get as part of the deal.
Satriano made a big impact in pre-season for Inter, particularly his goal against Lugano on the turn.
Inter signed him from Nacional de Montevideo in January 2020 for a not to be underestimated sum of €2.5m.
He scored 13 goals in 31 games for the Inter Primavera youth team last season, alongside Matias Fonseca.
This earned him a spot on the bench under Antonio Conte on three occasions in October 2020, although he didn’t get to play.
Satriano has Italian origins in the town of Tito, close to Potenza, and comes from a football family, as his father Gerardo Satriano – known as El Bocha – played for Club Atletico Bella Vista in the 1980s.
Nicknamed the ‘next Luis Suarez’ in Uruguay, the player insists his heroes are Ronaldinho and Juan Roman Riquelme.
