The National front page is asking Italy CT Roberto Mancini to ‘save us’ ahead of the EURO 2020 Final between the Azzurri and England at Wembley. ‘You are our final hope’.
Italy have returned to London to prepare for the showpiece at Wembley and ‘the newspaper that supports an independent Scotland’ is asking the Azzurri to overcome England in the Final.
“Save us Roberto, you’re our… final hope,” the paper writes on their front page. “We can’t take another 55 years of then banging on about this.”
Mancini is depicted as Scottish warrior William Wallace on the front page of the National.
