According to La Repubblica, the Argentinean had excluded his ex-wife Veronica Ojeda and his daughters from his will.
A few years ago, Maradona recorded a video where he said he would give everything to charity, but it has to be decided whether it was only a threat.
According to the paper, Maradona’s will could be worth up to $100m. During his lifetime he opened bank accounts in Monaco, Dubai, Sinaloa, Minsk and Havana.
He was also the owner of a home in Buenos Aires that was only known by few people, including his ex-wife.
Maradona’s inheritance reportedly includes a container full of memories of the Napoli legend.
According to the report, the container is placed in San Isidro and contains the Platinum Ball received by FIFA, a letter from Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez’s red shirt, a guitar belonging to Argentinean songwriter Andres Calamaro and many football shirts and footballs.
Diego Junior, the son Maradona recognized in 2007, is reportedly travelling from Naples to Buenos Aires.
He is one of Maradona’s five children, but according to La Repubblica, he could have had up to 11. All of them will have a DNA test that will be compared with Maradona’s.
It will take months, most likely years, to assign the hidden treasures of the 1986 Argentina World Cup winner.
