Italian media were impressed by Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao’s performances in Milan‘s 3-0 win over Venezia, with the Rossoneri causing all sorts of trouble from their left flank.

The French defender scored a brace, while Leao assisted Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the opener after just two minutes at the Stadio Penzo yesterday.

Leao was rated 7.5/10 (7 on Tuttosport) and the pink paper highlighted how Stefano Pioli’s comparison between the Portuguese star and Thierry Henry was ‘accurate’ although the Arsenal legend was ‘more consistent.’

Il Corriere dello Sport wrote that Leao was ‘unstoppable’ and ‘so decisive that it was easier to accept his breaks during the game.’

Both players are currently in talks to extend their contracts with the club until 2026.

After the match, the France international spoke to DAZN, suggesting that he is open to signing a new deal with the Rossoneri.
