Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, Italy CT Roberto Mancini and Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte are nominated for The Best FIFA Football Awards.

FIFA has announced the candidates for the various categories in The Best Awards, with three of the Italian champions from last season.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, who moved from Milan to PSG over the summer, is in contention to become the best goalkeeper after he helped the Rossoneri back to the Champions League and was a vital part of the Italy team that went all the way at the European Championship.

Jorginho was the playmaker of the Azzurri over the summer and arrived at the Euros after winning the Champions League with Chelsea.

The Brazilian-born Italy international fights Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah for the best player award.

For the best coach, there’s obviously Italy CT Roberto Mancini, while Conte is nominated after his success with Inter in 2020-21.

The award ceremony will take place on January 17 next year, check out the nominees below.

  1. Just great. More reason for them to get a big ego,rest on their laurels, and not get past the Playoffs.

    I’m all for recognition but the Euro 2020 win has come with a price.
