Milan have found themselves slipping into a painful injury crisis and tests provided an update on the recovery times of Davide Calabria and Simon Kjaer.

The Rossoneri already have a number of players sidelined with issues entering this packed six-week period, losing Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez, Alessandro Florenzi, Junior Messias, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Divock Origi to various injuries. Now Stefano Pioli’s options are even more limited as both Calabria and Kjaer will join their teammates in the medical office.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, tests confirmed that Calabria has suffered a proximal myotendinous injury to his right hamstring, leaving him sidelined for around three months, ending his 2022 early.

Kjaer’s injury is a little less serious; the Dane has suffered a low-grade injury to his right hamstring, keeping him out of action for around 15 days.

Pioli will have to tinker with his squad to try and find the right options for their rapidly approaching Champions League clash against Chelsea on Wednesday of this week.

  1. Nah, I disagree. No matter what happens this year, the league would be won and lost next year after World Cup.

  2. AHH… remember when Maldini was trying to sign Botman and several of us on the page were opposed.

Maybe he does know more than us. Would be sweet to be able to trot Botman out for CL.

  3. Some defender needs to step up. Dest or Gabbia because one of them will have the chance to play in the 4 defenders from now on..

  4. Rosario
I’m realistic, not some hyped up fanboy. Dest is awful, time to realise that. Dest as a regular in a back four will be tough to watch.
