Inter striker Joaquin Correa underwent a round of medical tests today which confirmed the presence of a thigh injury.

The 28-year-old Argentinian forward was forced to miss out on the Nerazzurri’s Derby della Madonnina win over Milan due to a pain in his thigh. Inter picked up a 1-0 victory thanks to a Lautaro Martinez header in the first half, putting them 13 points behind league leaders Napoli.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Correa underwent a round of medical tests at the Humanitas institute in Milan today, which confirmed a sprain to the semimembranosus muscle in his right thigh.

The former Lazio forward will be absent for the Nerazzurri’s next game against Sampdoria on February 13 and he could miss the following game against Udinese on February 18.

Correa has struggled to show his best for Inter since joining from Lazio in the summer of 2021, scoring just nine goals across 61 appearances in all competitions.
