Former Milan and Turkey coach Fatih Terim warns the Rossoneri face a ‘tactical battle’ with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham and names the biggest danger man in the Champions League tonight.

The first leg ended 1-0 at San Siro with a Brahim Diaz goal and the second leg kicks off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 20.00 GMT.

“Milan start with a slight advantage thanks to the 1-0 result, but it has to be said, the abolition of the away goals rule does not work in Stefano Pioli’s favour,” Terim told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

From last season, UEFA scrapped the away goals rule meaning those scored on their travels counted for double, so if Tottenham win by a one-goal margin this evening, it goes to extra time.

Conte returns to the bench for the first time since the San Siro encounter on February 14, having taken time out to fully rest and recover after gallbladder surgery.

“It is going to be a tactical battle,” assured Terim, who was on the Milan bench for only 13 games in 2001, but remains a popular figure with the fans.

“With all due respect for players like Son Heung-Min, Dejan Kulusevski, Lucas Moura and Ivan Perisic, Harry Kane has to be treated differently to the others in the squad.

“His career is a history of making sacrifices for Tottenham. Milan need to be very wary, as he is the number one danger man.”

The England international centre-forward is his team’s top scorer by a remarkable degree, with 20 goals compared to Son in second place with just nine.

However, he found the net only once in seven Champions League games this season, whereas Son and Richarlison both scored twice.
