“He’s an idol for everyone in football,” Ter Stegen said when asked about Buffon in the pre-match Press conference.

“A lot of people have already completed their career at his age [40] but he’s still at the top. I have huge respect for him, and I hope he can still play for many years.”
The sides met in the Champions League quarter-finals last year, with the Old Lady winning 3-0 on aggregate, is this a chance for revenge?
“We’ve changed a bit with the new ideas of Coach [Ernesto] Valverde. We approach the game in a different way and we have a squad capable of changing at any time.
“We’re not looking for vendettas or revenge, last year is over. We’re focused on the present and we want to show what we can do, we want to win and not look back.
“Paulo Dybala? He’s a player with great qualities, he’s improved even more and he can really make the difference. Dybala is very dangerous, but we’re ready to face him.”
