According to multiple reports in Italy, Juventus told Jorge Mendes that Cristiano Ronaldo is not leaving for free and Manchester City haven’t yet submitted a formal bid for the Portuguese star.

Mendes arrived in Turin on Wednesday and met the Bianconeri’s directors on Thursday morning.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport journalist Nicola Balice, the meeting between the two parties was wanted by Juventus to clarify the position of Ronaldo and his agent.

According to the report, the meeting was ‘not quite peaceful’ as Ronaldo keeps pushing to leave Juventus.

Both Balice and Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claim Juventus made it clear that the Portuguese ace won’t be leaving the Allianz Stadium for free.

As per Romeo Agresti, Pavel Nedved, Maurizio Arrivabene and Federico Cherubini attended the meeting today and the Bianconeri are ‘annoyed’ about the whole situation.

Manchester City haven’t yet submitted their offer for Ronaldo, but according to multiple reports, they are not willing to pay a penny for the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star.

Juventus, on the other hand, want at least €25m to sell the Portuguese ace.

Juventus are open to selling CR7, but on their conditions.

  1. I know Juventus has made questionable decisions in latest mercatos, but to pretend they will lose Ronaldo for nothing is a bit over the top, even for idiots like Nedved or Agnelli. Don’t see that happening

  2. My grandma who has been dead for 20 years could’ve told you that Juventus wouldn’t let him leave for free. I told you over an hour ago.

  3. @putuco Idiots! sure… What have the accomplished eh? Not much really, just a record number of Scudettos, elevating Juve’s standing in the scene, and many more feats.
Have they made mistakes during these years? Sure.
Are they still making mistakes, well yea, but could you label them as totally incompetent? Prolly not, especially when looking around at other clubs within Italy or outside, and see that all directors make mistakes, but not many of them have the receipts Angelli has.
So yea, you can keep hating coz of a call you don’t agree with (I definitely don’t think they’re infallible), or you could zoom out and be a little less deterministic.
On another note, a 25 mil fee, combined with the funds available from Ronaldo’s salary will hopefully allow some creativity in the market, or you know, bring in Witsel instead of Mckenny (Please don’t =\ )
Either way, I hope you’ll have a great day.

  4. Juve could have brought in Halaand and Mpbappe instead of this “strunz” Chiesa Erin, Mpabbe,, now that’s a front trio not this strunz or the other one with the big mouth brother and father

  5. Ronaldo imply cant be anymore alongside Szeczny, and juve not understant that Polishit should be gonne… Patience is finished for cr7… And juve goverment act like they notnunderstand whats happening

  6. I think the situation is over dramatized, time and patience. However , I want juve to stand their ground on the issue of transfer , the man costed 117mill and decency is needed. If man city won’t even pay a penny , that should be enough for Ronaldo to understand that they don’t really want you, that he’s an addition but not really needed, or else they’d pay a small 25-30 mill

  7. Really questionable decisions over the years and it’s starting to backfire. And it doesn’t seem like things are getting any better at Juve right now. Jus worried for my favorite football club

  8. This dude banging goals from left and right, asking a free transfer is really absurd! If he really wants to leave why Mendes doesn’t work to reduce his salary demands and let the ManCity pay from his pay cut as a trasnfer fee to Juve? and for fook sake don’t let him go to FFP friendly ManCity with unlimited money for free!!

  9. my only question is why Ronaldo waited till the end of the season to make his intentions clear. had he stated his intentions earlier. psg or someone else might have come in for him. man who the hell does man city think they are thinking that one of the best players ever can leave for free.

  10. I hate the antics of this primadonna Ronaldo…my wish is for his last moments in Serie A to be last week’s game (disallowed goal with concomitant yellow card). Ronaldo and Premier League are made for each other (rules, what rules, they apply to you, not us, do as we say since we have the money and self-appointed leverage).

  11. I never liked Ronaldo and never liked seeing him in a Juventus shirt. I agree with Serie A Lover that he should have made his intentions clear at the start of the window. Maybe he was waiting to see if things would be workable with Allegri. Now the club has to scramble to replace him with only a few days left. I don’t like the idea of Gabriel Jesus, who isn’t the kind of natural finisher that Juve need.

  12. Well city saying they want CR7 for free is crazy 🙄🙄 this is not kane or Jesus…this is the best player in the world you are bringing a 5 times ballon d’ors winner 5 times UCL winner..so you better step up your cheques at least 40millions/year for CR7 or nothing this guy garrantes 50+goals/ season if City cant see that then Juv should renew him till 2023..thats it! Distracting yourself with CR7 age would be the biggest mistake bcz age is just a number for CR7 he will outperform those guys in their 20s

  13. This Ronaldo is a drama queen. His coming to Juv had failure written all over it. He is good riddance but trying to leave a few days to the close of the window is selfish of him. No player is bigger than Juv. If City can’t pay €30m for Ronaldo, then they don’t really need him. I feel sorry for him because he has irritated true Juv fans.
