Maurizio Sarri risks being short of options in their upcoming match against Milan on Sunday as ten Lazio players, including Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, missed today’s training session at Formello.

The Biancocelesti trained today, but several of their players didn’t participate.

According to Calciomercato.com, the likes of Thomas Strakosha, Marius Adamonis, Adam Marusic, Stefan Radu, Danilo Cataldi, Pedro, Raul Moro, Patric, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luiz Felipe were absent from today’s session in the afternoon.

The morning session had been cancelled for unspecified reasons. According to the report, Milinkovic-Savic has flu, while the reasons for his teammates’ absence have not been revealed.

The Serbia international is the best midfielder in Serie A this season with nine assists and as many goals in 32 appearances. Lazio host Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night. After today’s training session, Lazio released an official statement but failed to mention that those ten players didn’t participate.

  1. Covid outbreak perhaps? After two years of pandemic, and this situation not being something out of the ordinary, I don’t know why they wouldn’t just come out and announce it.
