10 Juventus players have been left out of Thiago Motta’s first-team squad for Sunday afternoon’s pre-season friendly against LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid, including exile Federico Chiesa, who is not part of the coach’s plans heading into the 2024-25 season.

There are several other Bianconeri first-team members who are unlikely to be part of the picture heading into the new Serie A campaign, and have therefore been left out of Sunday’s friendly, Juve’s last before the league season kicks off next weekend.

As well as Chiesa, there are nine other Juventus players who have not been included for Sunday’s test against Atletico, including veteran goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, plus defenders Daniele Rugani, Tiago Djalo and Mattia De Sciglio.

Weston McKennie is also out, as are Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, Arthur Melo, Filip Kostic and Arkadiusz Milik.

Of the aforementioned players, Rugani is the most likely to leave Juventus first, as he looks set to join Ajax on loan for the 2024-25 season.

Every other player is unlikely to be a major player in Juve’s upcoming season, and therefore remain available on the transfer market.

Juve’s four new signings, Michele Di Gregorio, Juan Cabal, Khephren Thuram and Douglas Luiz have all been included in Sunday’s squad to face Atletico.

Juventus squad for Atletico Madrid friendly:

Goalkeepers: Di Gregorio, Perin, Pinsoglio

Defenders: Danilo, Bremer, Gatti, Cabal, Cambiaso, Savona, Rouki

Midfielders: Thuram, Douglas Luiz, Locatelli, Fagioli,

Forwards: Vlahovic, Yildiz, Weah, Sekulov, Mbangula
