"Roma are an entertaining team. They want to win playing a certain kind of football," Ten Hag said at a press conference.

Maarten Stekelenburg is in doubt for the Amsterdam ArenA tie tomorrow.

"It's not a problem that will keep him out of action for a long time," Ten Hag revealed.

"However, we still have to figure out whether he can play tomorrow or not. Today we want him to train. Let's see how he'll feel."

The goalkeeper is not the only Ajax player in doubt for the match.

"Schuurs has problems at his knee. Sean Klaiber became a father, and both Blind and Mazraoui are not fit and are not eligible to play.

"I have 16-17 players available. We kept winning despite being without Onana or Haller and Blind. They are strong footballers, but we can also win without them and playing good football."

Ajax are without a victory in their last ten home games against Serie A clubs.

"The last time we were eliminated in the Champions League group stage by Atalanta. But we eliminated Juventus two years ago. I wouldn't mind the same result."
