Andre Onana

According to De Telegraaf, incoming Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag won’t count on André Onana in Ajax’s last games of the season.

The Cameroon international has recently returned to action after a controversial doping ban. However, he hasn’t been at his best and committed a few mistakes in some crucial games, including the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Benfica in March.

According to Dutch paper De Telegraaf, incoming Man United coach Ten Hag will no longer count on him for the last games of the campaign. According to the report, Onana was sent on holiday to his native country and won’t return to Amsterdam before the end of the season.

Onana will join Inter as a free agent in the summer and has already undergone his medical with the Serie A giants.

Less than two weeks ago, he was booed by Ajax fans during a 2-1 win against Sparta Rotterdam, in his final game in Amsterdam, but the Cameroon international was not bothered.

“I’m not affected by their boos, I don’t care at all. They can sing, cry, and do whatever they want. I don’t give a f…,” he told ESPN.

“I’m not in my best shape right now, that’s the truth. I haven’t played for long! If they get angry, it’s their problem, if they’re sad, it’s their problem. That’s how I became who I am. It’s my life, let me write my story.”
