“We have to make the most of our chances, and we wasted too many in the first leg. Also mistakes at the back, as we conceded two goals that were avoidable,” Ten Hag told Sky Sport Italia.
“It’s still open and we have the opportunity to turn it around this evening. I think we defended well against their counter-attacks last time, and although Roma have a lot of quality in attack, they only scored with a free kick and a corner.”
The Lorenzo Pellegrini free kick was let in by goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen, but Maarten Stekelenburg is back between the posts today.
“He is very experienced, we have not conceded a lot of goals and he is very reliable.”
