“It's a different game,” Telles admitted in an interview with Inter Channel.
“We have to stay very focused. You can't get anything wrong, the side that makes the fewer mistakes will come out winners.
“We need to be prepared and focused to put in a big performance.
“We need to work hard every day, the derby is getting closer and we want to win. I've never been to San Siro, so it'll be my first time. I'm sure I'll feel at home.
“I'll feel at ease there so I can give my all.”
Telles’ move from Istanbul to Milan has seen him reunited with Roberto Mancini, who had a spell at Galatasaray before returning as Inter Coach.
“I'm delighted to be back working with him. He's a Coach I really enjoy playing under.
“He helps me a lot, I made a lot of progress with him at Galatasaray and now I want to keep improving here at Inter.”
The Brazilian arrived alongside compatriot Felipe Melo on Monday, and gave an assessment of the latter’s performance in yesterday’s defeat to Lecco.
“I thought he looked very good,” Telles said.
“Felipe is really vocal on the pitch. We've come in to help the team and win lots of trophies here at Inter.”
