“I am moved and excited, as sitting on this bench is a dream come true,” said Tedesco, a former Rosanero player.
“I want to thank President Maurizio Zamparini for the opportunity and the fans for the welcome I was given. I have to make the most of this chance to grow professionally.”
Tedesco is the named Coach because Guillermo Barros Schelotto does not have the necessary paperwork, but the pair work together in training.
It has been a chaotic campaign, as Beppe Iachini was sacked, Davide Ballardini followed, then over the last two games there have been two different caretaker managers – Fabio Viviani and Giovanni Bosi.
“I get on well with Schelotto’s staff and thank him for the welcome. Guillermo is very capable and we discuss everything every day, so there is a strong sense of collaboration.
“I will try to help him and his staff with my experience of Serie A and Palermo. Where do I see my future? I am ambitious and want to continue being a Coach. I’d be happy to carry on working with Schelotto to the end of the season, otherwise if I go then that’s no problem.”
