The head of European football’s governing body today urged members not to vote for Sepp Blatter, and said ‘all options are open’ to force change in FIFA – presumably including boycotting the World Cup.

“After what has happened, the whole world of sport is watching us,” Tavecchio told Sky.

“We can’t afford not to listen to Platini’s view and then act accordingly.”

Presidential elections take place for FIFA tomorrow, with Blatter expected to be re-elected despite the scandal, which has seen several high-ranking officials arrested on corruption charges.
