Tavecchio had already said he was surprised by the money spent by the likes of Inter and Milan on the market so far this summer, considering both clubs had financial problems.
“I have no doubts in saying the state of Italian football is no worse than the rest of Europe,” Tavecchio told Il Messaggero.

Tavecchio had already said he was surprised by the money spent by the likes of Inter and Milan on the market so far this summer, considering both clubs had financial problems.
“I have no doubts in saying the state of Italian football is no worse than the rest of Europe,” Tavecchio told Il Messaggero.
“It is a very delicate moment and I already said quite clearly that I am astonished by the transfer operations that have made Italy the country to invest most in the market this summer.
“I hope that it can all be resolved in the best way, as the clubs who made these pledges are reliable and will keep their promises.
“This year all the Serie A clubs will be able to register for the season. In October they must give another report on how they intend to continue to the end of the season to avoid another Parma situation.”
The Federation President was also asked about the request for 104 suspects to go to trial for match-fixing, including Italy Coach Conte.
“I haven’t had the chance to speak to Conte, but nothing changes as far as we are concerned. We won’t change our attitude and this was news we were expecting.
“We remind everyone that request for a trial does not mean a guilty verdict.”
