“It is curious that the Derby arrives so early, but we’ll see what happens. We have a very difficult start away to Fiorentina too.
“Last year it’s difficult to say we started well, as we only really did for two games and needed to string more positive results together.”
Former assistant manager Tassotti is now a scout keeping an eye on the various Milan players out on loan, but was still asked about attempts to bring back Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“I don’t know, as the market is not under my purview. He is 34 now, but has always made the difference at every club and is still the best out there.”
