Swedish striker Muamer Tankovic has landed in Genoa for his medical ahead of a move to the Serie A side.

Tankovic is making the transfer from Hammarby, where he has played since 2017, and will reportedly cost the Rossoblu €2m.

The club needed a striker after Christian Kouame ruptured his ACL while playing for the Ivory Coast U23s last week.

Kouame will be out of action until June 2020 following surgery.

Tankovic can't help his new team out immediately, however, as he will have to wait until the January transfer window opens before being able to play.

The 24-year-old scored 14 times in 28 games for Hammarby this season.
