Roma have identified a possible replacement for Tammy Abraham as they look to sell the former Chelsea striker back to the Premier League.

Things have not been easy in the Italian capital for the English striker since his impressive debut season, when he netted 17 goals across 37 Serie A matches. He struggled to find consistency in his second campaign before a cruciate ligament injury in June of last year derailed his time in Italy.

Tammy Abraham was limited to just 318 minutes of action across 12 matches for Roma this season, scoring just once following his return from injury. With a salary of around €6m net per season, the club have decided to transfer list him as they look to revitalise the squad.

Tammy Abraham future

Page eight of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Roma are willing to sell Tammy Abraham for around €22-25m this summer, hoping to send the Englishman back to the Premier League. Prior to his injury in June 2023, Aston Villa were interested in a deal.

Should he depart, the Giallorossi would look to snap up Lille’s Jonathan David to replace him. The Canadian striker has a €40m price tag, but his €1.5m net per season wages make a move fairly accessible.
