Milan are serious about signing Tammy Abraham this month but still haven’t managed to find a convincing offer for Roma yet, reports detail.

Rossoneri coach Paulo Fonseca has made it clear that a new striker is a priority for the club before the end of this transfer window as he looks for a player to alternate with Alvaro Morata, wanting some depth in his frontline.

Milan identified Tammy Abraham as an intriguing option but aren’t willing to pay the €35m needed to secure his signature, so are trying to lower the costs with a player in exchange. Current ideas include Davide Calabria and Noah Okafor.

Can Milan find Tammy Abraham deal?

Page 20 of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Milan’s latest idea to convince Roma to give up Tammy Abraham is Alexis Saelemaekers, who would seemingly fill a void in Daniele De Rossi’s squad. He is only valued at around €10m, so a hefty cash sum would still be needed.

One issue is that Fonseca has been left impressed by Saelemaekers’ work in the pre-season and asked to keep the Belgian winger, complicating the Rossoneri’s chase of the English striker.
