Chelsea and Giorgio Chiellini’s LAFC are said to be in talks over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid rumours of a possible return to Milan in the summer for the 33-year-old striker.

The product of the Rossoneri academy is not in Chelsea’s plans and has been dropped from their Champions League squad for the knock-out phase.

As per Relevo in Spain, MLS side LAFC are currently in talks with Chelsea to secure the services of the ex-Barcelona and Arsenal forward.

The transfer window in the USA is still open, so the striker would move to the MLS in February if the three parties reach an agreement.

Former Italy international Giorgio Chiellini joined LAFC last summer, signing an 18-month contract.

Aubameyang only joined Chelsea last summer in a €12m deal from Barcelona. He has scored three goals in 17 appearances with the Blues this term.

He had been linked with a return to Milan at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old played in the Rossoneri’s youth sector and scored a goal at a senior level in the famous friendly encounter ‘Trofeo Berlusconi’ against Juventus in January 2007.

  1. Ridiculous the amount of money Chelsea has to throw away. Literally. 12 million euros is like chicken feed for them.
