Tommaso Barbieri’s stock is growing at Juventus and the 20-year-old has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The Italian right back joined the Bianconeri’s Under-23 squad in September 2020 from Novara and impressed with the youth team, providing six assists in 61 appearances, earning promotion to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad. Barbieri made his first team debut for Juventus in their Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain and started in their 2-0 friendly win over Arsenal recently.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Barbieri has now penned a new contract with Juventus, tying him to the club until June 2026. He is the latest youngster to commit his future to the Old Lady alongside Samuel Iling-Junior and Alessandro Pio Riccio.

The Bianconeri have started to pay increasing attention to their young talents, a sign of the success of their second team Juventus Next Gen. Barbieri will be hoping for more first team minutes in the second half of this season.
