Tacchinardi clear why Vlahovic scores less with Juve

Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has no doubts as to why Dusan Vlahovic is struggling to score as much in Turin as he did in Florence.

The 22-year-old Serbian forward joined the Bianconeri in a deal worth around €80m total in the January transfer window, being a statement signing by Juventus. The club hope that he’ll be the leading figure in their post-Cristiano Ronaldo era, but things have started off a little lacklustre for Vlahovic, whose goal average has undoubtedly dropped following the move.

Speaking to SportMediaset, Tacchinardi discussed Vlahovic’s recent form and why he struggles to score as much for Juventus.

“Simply because of Juventus’ way of playing, the team doesn’t put him in a position to score goals at the moment. Juventus don’t create chances and play badly, so the best striker in the league doesn’t get to shoot on goal.”

The 22-year-old Vlahovic scored 17 goals in 22 league appearances this season for Fiorentina. Since making the move to Turin, the Serbian striker has scored six goals in 12 league appearances, struggling to replicate his previous prolific form.

Many fans are unhappy with Massimiliano Allegri’s tactical decisions and hope that something changes over the next few months.
