Juventus want Wojciech Szczesny out and while Monza CEO Adriano Galliani admits he is ‘between a suggestion and a dream,’ Al-Nassr are still in contention.

The goalkeeper is no longer required in Turin after the arrival of Michele Di Gregorio from Monza at a cost of €18m including add-ons.

Coach Thiago Motta has made it very clear he does not see Szczesny in his plans and the goalkeeper’s salary is one the club is eager to get off the books too.

Talks with Al-Nassr seemed to have broken down because the Saudi Pro League club turned its focus towards different objectives, including Manchester City man Ederson.

Szczesny waits for Monza and Al-Nassr moves

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Al-Nassr are still very much in the running for Szczesny and agreed personal terms, while Juve would accept a small fee to release him.

It is purely about whether or not they decide to go ahead with it.

Keeping that in mind, Monza CEO Galliani told reporters today that having Szczesny with them is “midway between a suggestion and a dream. Who knows, we’ll see if it could become a negotiation.”

It would be curious to see the Poland international effectively exchange places with Di Gregorio, who is replacing him in Turin.
