Wojciech Szczesny said Juventus showed they ‘are hungry to win trophies’ after the triumph in the Supercoppa Italiana against Napoli.

The Poland international revealed he didn’t take part in the dressing room celebrations after the 2-0 win at the Mapei Stadium due to a doping test after the match.

“After the match they immediately took me to another room for doping control, so I didn’t have the time or the opportunity to celebrate with the lads,” Szczesny told Sky Sport Italia.

“After the match they immediately took me to another room for doping control, so I didn’t have the time or the opportunity to celebrate with the lads,” Szczesny told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s a shame, because they had fun.”

But the Old Lady shot stopper said he and his team showed their ‘hunger’ by a clean sheet and another trophy, but wants to regroup ‘immediately’ ahead of the match against Bologna in Serie A on Sunday.

“The sensations after the match were very good,” he said. “But we are already two days away from the match against Bologna and we must focus on that immediately.

“Maybe Chiellini thanked me, but if we didn’t concede, it’s also thanks to his great performance. I thanked him too.

“We showed against Napoli that this team are hungry to win trophies. This year we won for the 10th consecutive year and this shows the hunger we have and we don’t want to stop here."
