Wojciech Szczesny has verbally agreed to the conditions of a new contract with Juventus, reports detail.
The 33-year-old Polish shot stopper has continued to be the Old Lady’s number one this season, doing a good job between the sticks bar a disastrous outing against Sassuolo back in September. He has seen almost 2000 minutes of action across 22 games this term.
Szczesny, who has 18 months left on his contract at Juventus, is one of the highest earners in the squad, commanding a salary of €6.5m net or €12.03m gross per season, behind only Adrien Rabiot and Dusan Vlahovic.
As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, Szczesny has agreed to the terms of a new deal with Juventus, who want to extend his contract by a year or two and spread out his remaining salary, working to shore up their financial health.
The Polish veteran is keen to continue his adventure with the Old Lady, having made 239 appearances for the club so far since his arrival from Arsenal in July 2017.
