A Swedish football fan has won over €1,000 thanks to Luis Suarez’s bite on Giorgio Chiellini yesterday.
The Uruguay international was seen chomping down on the Italy defender during their 1-0 win in Natal on Tuesday.
And the firm Betsafe, who offered odds on it happening during the World Cup, have confirmed that they paid out to more than 100 punters.

One winner, Jonathan Braeck from Stenungssund, bet the equivalent to €8 that the Liverpool man would bite, and the 23-year-old substitute teacher is now set for a win of Swedish 14,000 krona for his wager.
“First I thought I’d bet a little more, but a friend said I was just wasting my money,” he told the Sport Expressen newspaper
“When Italy took over the game you knew that he could go a little crazy.
“I didn’t think that he would bite, but that he’d do something stupid. Then he did the best stupid thing that he could do.”
Suarez has been banned twice at club level for biting an opponent – earning a seven game ban in Holland, and a 10 game ban in England.
