While Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins did admit to negotiations, he warned Napoli didn’t have their hands on the Spanish striker just yet.
“Napoli have enquired about Michu and we have been talking to them and to Michu's agent,” Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.
“But there are other options and nothing is finalised yet. The nature of the transfer? We are discussing various options.”
Reports emerged today that Swansea wanted Napoli and Argentina defender Federico Fernandez in a straight swap.
Michu scored 22 goals in his debut Swansea season, but had injury problems last term and only managed six.
