There is a COVID-19 outbreak in the Sweden squad, as after Juventus man Dejan Kulusevski, now Bologna’s Mattias Svanberg also tested positive.

The Swedish medical staff announced the news after the first training session in Gothenburg this afternoon.

Kulusevski felt unwell this morning and tested positive for COVID-19, so remained in Stockholm.

However, at the warm-up stage of his training session, Svanberg also felt ill and spoke to the medical staff.

He was then isolated from the rest of the squad and the test came back positive.

“Mattias will not train with the team and is now isolated at the hotel. The test will be analysed again and supplementary testing will be performed,” said doctor Anders Valentin.

Sweden are in the same group as Spain – who also had a COVID case for Sergio Busquets – Slovakia and Poland.
