The Supercoppa Italiana could be moved to San Siro on January 5 between Inter and Juventus, snubbing Saudi Arabia, which would mean moving Juve’s big Serie A match with Napoli.

This tournament used to be a pre-season staple between the Scudetto holders and Coppa Italia winners.

In recent years, due to the packed fixture list, it has moved further and further down the schedules to December or January.

The Lega Serie A still has a contract to play at least one more of these Supercoppa ties in Saudi Arabia, but there was a disagreement over scheduling.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it has been decided the game will now be played at San Siro instead on January 5, 2022.

It was already played in Italy last season, at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia, due to COVID restrictions on travel.

If confirmed, then Juventus will also have to reschedule their Serie A big match with Napoli, which is set for January 6.

The same goes for Inter meeting Bologna.
